Portfolio › Paintings on paper

These paintings follow the extrapolation series. The first paintings in the set are the latest. I scaled down the size and focused primarily on engaging color relationships and unique compositions.
Painting on good heavy paper allows for a somewhat absorbant surface, like raw canvas, which I prefer to a gessoed or slick surface.
I am continuing to build on my root ideas. Balancing concept with pure objective abstraction is the aim in each work.
